Air Fryer Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp

Thin-cut bacon crisps in the same short cooking window the shrimp need. Thick bacon may stay chewy before the shrimp are done. The 20-minute chilling time is included in prep time but excluded from total time.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined, tails on
  • 16 thin slices bacon
  • Lemon wedges or cocktail sauce, for serving, optional

Instructions

  1. Wrap each shrimp with one slice of bacon, starting near the top and finishing near the tail.
  2. Place the wrapped shrimp on a plate and refrigerate for 20 minutes so the bacon firms.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 390°F.
  4. Arrange the shrimp in a single layer in the basket, working in batches if needed.
  5. Air fry for 5 to 7 minutes, turning once, until the bacon is crisp and the shrimp are opaque.
  6. Drain briefly on paper towels and serve hot with lemon wedges or cocktail sauce, if desired.
