Air Fryer Caramel Stuffed Baked Apples

These apples are cozy, gooey, and just fancy enough to make it look like you tried harder than you did. The little splash of water helps the apples soften without drying out.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium apples, such as Honeycrisp, Gala, or Granny Smith
  • 2 Tbsp chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 2 Tbsp old-fashioned oats
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp butter, softened
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 soft caramels or 2 Tbsp caramel sauce
  • 2 Tbsp water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 330°F.
  2. Core the apples, leaving the bottom intact.
  3. Stir the nuts, oats, brown sugar, butter, and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  4. Spoon the oat mixture into each apple.
  5. Press one caramel into the center of each apple or drizzle caramel sauce into the filling.
  6. Place the apples in an air fryer-safe baking dish.
  7. Add the water to the bottom of the dish.
  8. Air fry for 14–16 mins., until the apples are tender.
  9. Let the apples cool for 5 mins. before serving.
