Air Fryer Chocolate Almond Croissants

This is the fast lane to bakery-style dessert. Day-old croissants work especially well because they crisp up without turning soggy. Tiny miracle, zero laminated dough drama.

Ingredients

  • 4 mini croissants or 2 large croissants, halved
  • 1/3 cup chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
  • 3 tablespoons almond paste or almond butter
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar, plus more for dusting
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons sliced almonds
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 320°F.; stir the almond paste or almond butter with powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth.
  2. Split the croissants without cutting all the way through. Spread a little almond mixture inside each one, then add chocolate.
  3. Brush the tops lightly with melted butter and sprinkle with sliced almonds.
  4. Place the croissants in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  5. Air fry for 4 to 6 mins., until the chocolate melts and the tops are crisp.
  6. Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.
