Portobello Pepperoni Pizza

Portobello Pepperoni Pizza is a handy finishing touch for desserts, breakfasts, or simple snacks. Keep the heat gentle and taste near the end so the sweetness and tartness land where you want them.

Ingredients

  • 3 portobello mushroom caps, cleaned and scooped
  • 3 Tbsps olive oil
  • 3 Tbsps tomato sauce
  • 3 Tbsps mozzarella, shredded
  • 12 slices pepperoni
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch dried Italian seasonings

Instructions

  1. Prep.
  2. Drizzle olive oil on both sides of the portobello, then season the inside of the portobello with salt and the Italian seasonings.
  3. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the mushroom and then top with cheese.
  4. Cook.
  5. Preheat the Air-fryer to 330°F.
  6. Place the portobello into the cooking basket and slide into the Air-fryer.
  7. After 1 minute, remove the cooking basket from the Air-fryer and place the pepperoni slices on top of the portobello pizza.
  8. Cook for an additional 3 to 5 minutes.
  9. Finish with freshly grated parmesan cheese and crushed red pepper flakes.
