Ingredients

  • 2 medium apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats
  • 2 Tbsp whole wheat flour
  • 2 Tbsp chopped walnuts
  • 1 Tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 Tbsp melted butter or coconut oil
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Toss apple slices with lemon juice, brown sugar, and half of the cinnamon. Divide between two ramekins.
  2. In a bowl, mix oats, flour, walnuts, remaining cinnamon, salt, honey, and melted butter until crumbly.
  3. Spoon the crumble mixture over the apples.
  4. Place ramekins on a baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes, until topping is golden and apples are tender.
  5. Let cool slightly before serving. Top with a dollop of Greek yogurt or light whipped cream if desired.
